The Philippine Association for Chemistry Teachers -National Chapter held its general assembly on June 20, 2026, at the Tanghalang Teresita Quirino, University of Santo Tomas, España, Manila. This year’s seminar highlighted the works of Dr. Ganga Fernando of Cottey College, Missouri, USA, on electrochemistry. Her presentation covered the principles of electrochemistry and how it can be contextualized in a classroom experiment. Dr. Ganga emphasized the importance of aligning class lessons and experiments with students’ interests to foster an engaging atmosphere.
In the same assembly, the members of the PACT-National elected a new set of Board members for the 2026–2029 term during its business meeting. The organization also formally welcomes the Board members elected at the November 22, 2025, General Assembly, whose leadership and continued service will help advance PACT’s mission and programs in the coming years of the 2025-2028 term.
